If you are a registered user of Playforia and have logged in with your nickname, you can start playing right away.

If you don't have your own Playforia nickname yet, you will be assigned a random visitor nickname starting with 'anonym' and a number to inform other players that you are a guest. This way you won't be confused with regular players.

If you want to create your own nickname (it's free!), click here.

Game Lobby

After having logged in, you can enter the game lobby. The top results of the day, week, month and all time are displayed in the upper part of the lobby. If you are a registered user, your personal best result is displayed below these.

There are 5 buttons at the bottom of the lobby . one for each level of difficulty. When you move the mouse pointer on one of these buttons, the top result of the level in question will be shown on the points list in the upper part of the lobby. You can start a game on the level of difficulty of your choice by clicking on one of these buttons.

The levels of difficulty differ in the pace of the game and the length of the snake. The slow snake is easier to control than the nimble one, and the slow snake also turns more sharply. However, the slow snakes grow more quickly than the fast ones. Moreover, the pace of the game varies according to the level of difficulty. When playing with the fast snakes also the bonuses that appear during the game are consumed faster.

The "Quit" button takes you back to the Playforia front page.

The purpose of the game is to collect as many points as possible by eating pizzas that appear on the screen. The more quickly you eat a pizza, the more points you get. However, the snake grows as a result of eating, and the game becomes more difficult, because if the snake bumps into itself, the game is over. Bumping into the walls is also fatal.

The snake is controlled by the mouse. The snake always moves towards the direction of the mouse pointer, but its speed remains constant and the snake cannot take very sharp turns.

You can pause the game by clicking the mouse on the game area. The game continues when you click the mouse again. Alternatively, you can pause the game by pressing the P key on the keyboard.

There are three different types of pizza and they yield points as follows: The salami pizza is the most common one and it yields normal points.
The Hawaii pizza with its pineapples is a bit less common and it yields double points.
The Mexicana pizza with extra jalapenos is the most uncommon one and it yields triple points.

Every now and then bonuses appear in the game area, and if you eat these, the following happens:
Soft drink - Yields double points for all pizzas that have been eaten during the game
Light soft drink - The snake won.t grow longer as a result of eating pizzas
Energy drink - The snake starts to move faster
Hamburger - Yields extra points
Water - Makes the snake partly transparent. During this period of time the snake can go over itself.

The Game Menu

Information about the game is displayed on the right side of the game area during the game.

The uppermost part shows your points in the ongoing game, your personal best result and the all-time best result.
